The 7th GPCA IP Awareness Workshop, hosted by Qatar Petrochemical Company (QAPCO), took place from May 24-25, 2023, in Doha, Qatar. The theme of the workshop was “Transitioning from a Technology Licensee to a Technology Leader.” It focused on assisting organizations in the GCC region in developing, expanding, and leveraging their IP strategies and assets for sustainable value creation.
During the workshop, attendees were provided with insights into intellectual property (IP), its associated rights, strategies, and protection mechanisms in the GCC, with real-world examples and case studies. The workshop covered various types of technology and IP, asset management, development, protection, collaboration agreements, and monetization strategies. The goal was to help companies maximize the value of their IP while mitigating associated risks in the global business landscape.
