Safety

At QAPCO, ensuring the safety of our employees and stakeholders, as well as that of our facilities and products, is first and foremost. Our strategy is based on safety, a core value embraced by everyone at QAPCO. We apply a structured, systematic safety approach in our daily operations and take the necessary steps to ensure that safety is an integral part of our processes and guides our actions.

To further improve our HSE performance, we continue to launch initiatives and undertake actions with a permanent focus on health and personal safety, and process safety.

SAFETY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

QAPCO has robust and certified safety management systems in place. We are certified to the (OH&S) ISO 45001:2018 and we are regularly undertake audits by external auditors to review and verify our compliance with the standard.

HEALTH AND PERSONAL SAFETY

We take the welfare of our employees and our contractors seriously and strive to create and maintain safe and healthy working environments.

Performance

QAPCO has maintained a strong safety performance record since inception.

We monitor and report on key workforce personal safety metrics and include both employees and contractors in our data, and we measure our workforce recordable injury frequency and our day away from work case frequency.

PROCESS SAFETY

Process safety deals with the prevention and control of incidents that have the potential to release hazardous materials and energy.

It is a framework for managing the integrity of operating systems and processes handling hazardous substances by applying good design principles, engineering, and operating and maintenance practices.

We continue to work to build a process safety culture at QAPCO, learning from our own and other oil and gas industry process safety events.
